MX Event Hub Sdn Bhd, formerly known as The Artist3 Concept, was established in 2013. The company started as a wedding planning and decoration service before transitioning into corporate event management and becoming a registered agency of Astro Radio Media. Over the years, MX Event Hub expanded its portfolio by organizing Fun Fair events across Sabah and one of our signature annual events is Chinese New Year Bazaar, it has ran for 10 successful editions before concluding.

In 2023, MX Event Hub took a new direction by launching Pet Kingdom Expo, Sabah’s first-ever pet expo, which received overwhelming support from the community. Following this success, 2024 marked another milestone with the launch of the Borneo Obstacle Race (B.O.R.), Sabah’s first obstacle race event. The event was well-received, with positive feedback reinforcing its potential as a major sporting event and further establishing MX Event Hub’s reputation for creating unique and engaging experiences.

Nico Chan, the founder and organizer of MX Event Hub, is a passionate animal lover and advocate for animal welfare. Her vision for Pet Kingdom Expo goes beyond just hosting an event—it serves as a platform to educate the public on respecting, loving, and protecting animals. Nico believes that awareness and education are key to stopping animal cruelty. While various organizations and NGOs focus on different aspects—such as rescuing, feeding, conducting Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) programs, or enforcing legal protections—Nico’s mission is to educate and raise awareness to prevent cruelty at its root. She understands that change is a long journey, much like a marathon, but she is determined to push forward, starting with educating children at a young age and expanding her efforts to the wider community.

Beyond her advocacy for animals, Nico is also a passionate sports enthusiast, particularly in obstacle racing. She believes in the power of sports to challenge individuals, push their limits, and promote a healthier lifestyle. Through events like the Borneo Obstacle Race, she aims to encourage people to step out of their comfort zones, break free from routine office life, and embrace new challenges. To Nico, a healthy life leads to a happy life, and she hopes to inspire more people to take on new adventures and test their limits.
